Paul McCartney and Wings - 'Getting Closer / Baby's Request'. R 6027
Paul McCartney and Wings 1979 UK 1st DEMO pressing of the 'Getting Closer / Baby's Request' 7" single. Released on the 16th August 1979, and offered here FULLY COMPLETE with the original Wings picture sleeve. This was originally sent out as a promotional copy and comes with a selection of promotional extras. Including: 'Back To The Egg' postcard, 'Back To The Egg' sticker, Wings comp slip and Wings / MPL card. It is offered here in STUNNING MINT- condition.
These initial early demo pressings would have usually been given out to reviewers, radio stations or used as quality control within the pressing plant.
The single was taken from the album 'Back To The Egg' from which it was promoting. Both labels feature a large printed ‘A’ indicating this was intended to be a double a-side release. This is one of Paul’s rarer UK singles only charting at number 60. A wonderful promo package in wonderful condition.

The vinyl is in MINT- condition.
Both labels are in MINT- condition.
The sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition.
