1970 UK /French release on APPLE Records (PCS 7102)
Beautiful copy of Macca's 1st LP. This has a stunning UK gatefold sleeve. The vinyl is made in France as there weren't enough UK pressings manufactured at the time (see scan 2).
It's safe to say that Paul McCartney's debut solo album was never part of a grand masterplan. A selection of home recordings, studio tracks, Beatles rejects and ad-libbed offcuts, it was a swiftly assembled collection, released to coincide with The Beatles' break-up, that divided fans and critics alike.

Normally that stuff ends up with the rest of your demos, but all that stuff is often stuff I love."VINYL: Really new with a beautiful shiny lustre.
LABELs: Absolutely clean with no spindle marks.
COVER: Stunning condition. Superb glossy gatefold with a tiny blemish on the front top corner. Straight edges with perfect corners and an uncrushed spine with printing all visible.
OVERALL I would grade this item M/M-

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADINGS
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
Plus(+) or Minus(-) may be used from time to time to try to give the buyer a closer idea of the quality of record on offer.
