B - 1U' was the starting point, so 'A - 2U / B - 2U' was exceptionally low and positively a very first pressing.
FIRST ISSUE THICK CARD LYRICS INNER SLEEVE, A CREAM BACKGROUND TO THE FULL LYRICS ALBUM CREDITS;
AND COLOUR PICTURES, UNLIKE LINDA'S GATEFOLD PHOTOGRAPH, THE PICTURE ON THE CHAIR DIFFERS. &
Like the second side's label, on the seat are the yellow pipes Paul is holding on the front photograph, but if you look very
carefully, underneath the chair is the red & blue cover from the closely connected 1982, "Tug Of War" album.
Re-issues had paper not cardboard inner sleeves and they were a square shape without curved corners, the opposite of the
early 1970's design.
THE INNER SLEEVE IN UNUSED, UNAGED AND UNSPLIT MINT CONDITION.
THESE VERY FIRST GARROD & LOFTHOUSE GATEFOLD COVERS HAVE A LARGER SQUARE SHAPE SPINE,
UNIQUE TO FIRST ISSUES

Pipes Of Peace IS 32 years of age, a fantastic album
over three decades generally finds these first UK
issues in poor condition.
Partially because the records were heavily
played and the inner sleeve split worn, but even more so,
the cream colour gatefold cover is always stained, grubby scuffed,
particularly the light coloured spine.
This was kept inside a plastic outer sleeve from new, this is in remarkable and beautiful
condition, no aging, fading or wear at all.
For grading purposes
I have to be realistic, this is exactly how it looked when first
made 32 years ago, you would need a time machine to reproduce this
gatefold cover, cardboard lyrics pictures inners sleeve
and the record!
THIS WAS PURPOSE BOUGHT TO KEEP AS UNPLAYED, THE COVER WAS UNUSED AND FOR ONCE ANY STORAGE OR
HANDLING SIGNS ARE SO MINISCULE, THERE WAS NOTHING TO DETAIL, IN MINT- CONDITION.
THE RECORD IS UNPLAYED
PURCHASED WITHOUT ANY INTENTIONOF PLAYING
BOTH MATT LABELS ARE IN PRISTINE CONDITION WITHOUT ANY TRACES OF SPINDLE USE.
