On offer here is a lovely shiny Near Mint / EX+ copy of the extremely rare laminated cover pressing of the classic Red Rose Speedway LP by Paul McCartney and Wings. This beautiful 100% complete copy comes with the stapled booklet fully intact, a beautiful copy of the record and the very scarce laminated gatefold stapled cover without the Braille message on the rear.
This pressing features a custom black Red Rose Speedway label design with ‘The Gramophone Company Limited’ and ‘An Apple Record’ text on both labels.
The catalogue number is PCTC 251 and the matrix numbers are Side 1 – YEX 903-3 & Side 2 – YEX 904-3. Mothers & stampers are: Side 1 – GHA 3 & Side 2 – GTL 4.
The record is very strictly graded in superb shiny EX+ condition, it is in great shape with no marks and just light hairlines visible under a strong light. It plays through beautifully and sounds great with absolutely no jumps, sticks, warps, dishing etc.
The gatefold laminate cover is also very strictly graded in lovely EX condition with just some creasing evident on the spine and very minor corner rubbing. This edition comes with an EMI inner sleeve which is also in lovely shape.
The labels are superb with no tears, marks or writing and with only very minimal traces of any spindle wear on both sides.
