Description

  • Paul McCartney released his sixth studio album "London Town" with Wings as his backup band in March 1978. By the time it was released two years after "Wings At The Speed Of Sound" only Denny Laine and wife Linda were still around for the cover shot. It topped the charts thanks to the hit single "With A Little Luck."

  • This copy (SW-11777) is from the first pressing and is in near mint condition. It still has its original factory shrink wrap and the cover easily grades VG+. Please see the pictures. Also included is the original card stock lyrics inner sleeve and the pristine 32" x 22" double-sided color poster. The disc test plays cleanly and is also VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl. It was mastered at Kendun Recorders and pressed at the Capitol Records plant in Los Angeles. The dead wax on Side 1 is etched SW-2-11777-Z-9 and stamped KENDUN-B J6 ?.

  • In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.  It will ship securely in the special corrugated Album Mailer seen in the last picture. 

  • This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 42 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
