Private Press 10" "Liberation Music" by the Peace Bread & Land Band with the Original Insert.

I'm not sure how many of these were pressed, I've heard that there were 1000. Regardless, it is SUPER RARE! The music insert lists the copyright date as 1971 but I believe it was recorded in 1970.

For those unfamiliar, this was a communal band formed by Sid & Elaine Brown. Sid was a member of the Spike Drivers. Released in a screen printed 10 x 13 Envelope with a sheet music insert, the music is psychedelic folk of a radical/political nature with one song being a poem by Ho Chi Minh set to music and another about Angela Davis.

The Vinyl is VG+, surface noise is minimal there are one or two light tics. The vinyl retains a nice sheen with some minor surface marks & sleeve scuffs. There are a couple of light spindle marks on the label.

I'm Grading the Sleeve as VG, despite some light stains the all important artwork is very presentable. The flap is a bit torn up with some tearing along the fold and there is a hole torn through the flap of the envelope (see detailed images below) as well as a bit of writing in the flap in green pen. I am not grading it as low as I would a conventional album sleeve with a hole through it due to the unique nature of this as an envelope that had to be opened & has survived relatively unscathed since 1971. Additionally, there is some edge & ring wear and some crinkles & remnants of past folds here & there.

Insert is VG+, there is a slight stain on one corner and remnants of some past folds
