“one of the best albums from the seventies French prog scene. PENTACLE were a 4-piece band influenced by bands like early KING CRIMSON, and the MOODY BLUES. Their music tends to lean on the mellow symphonic sound, where beautifully colorful themes are led by acoustic/eletric guitar and analog keyboards. Every once in a while, the band starts to explore more aggressive territory (faster tempos, time-signatures, etc), and the guitarist bursts into passionate soloing. All of the tracks feature French vocals, which add to the beauty of the music. Fans of melodic bands like CARPE DIEM are in for a treat with this little gem.” “The album is their only one and exactly terrific one in the French progressive rock history. When I listened for the first time without any knowledge, I wondered Ange had changed their name or members. That's absolutely natural. Picture Sleeve : visually really clean, no tear, no writing. Edges are very healthy, just light use traces, visible on photos (see pictures & ask for more if you want).
Vinyl & labels : Labels are nearly perfect. Vinyl is visually really very clean & shiny, without any suspect trace, just some light traces (more visible under a lamp). This record sounds really great, with a few light noises (on quietest moments) just listen to long on extracts, and ask for more pics of this record if you want !!!
I don’t use the grading system, because of too many disputes and different interpretations (some say vg for vg+, some others say nm for ex, and finally, nobody really knows ! That’s why I prefer you to listen to extract, taken directly from the vinyl, and look at pictures which you can enlarge). I describe things such as they are, I try to do it the best I can, but you can ask for any question, then I’ll try to give you the answer as soon as possible ! Just look at my feedbacks !
