PENTAGRAM DAY OF RECKONING RARE 1987 NAPALM DOOM METAL SEALED LP

Artist:--Pentagram

Title:--Day Of Reckoning

Label:--Napalm

Year of release:--1987

Catalog/Label number:--FLAME006

Condition of vinyl:--Sealed LP

Condition of record cover:--Sealed LP. Upper right corner cut, otherwise looks perfect. No creases, no seam splits. Seal is intact except for 7 inches along mouth of cover as seen in picture.

Notes:--From Eduardo Rivadavia at allmusic: "Having waited more than a decade to finally wax their excellent debut, Pentagram wasted little time in preparing its follow-up, 1987's even more accomplished Day of Reckoning. Though it was dedicated to Blue Cheer, the album is arguably the most faithful tribute to the original spirit of Black Sabbath ever committed to tape. Vocalist Bobby Liebling always recalled Ozzy Osbourne with his uncultured, barely adequate vocal delivery, and even borrows a few lyrics on "Evil Seed" and "Madman." But on Day of Reckoning, it's guitarist Victor Griffin's ability to replicate Tony Iommi's guitar tone and playing style which is nothing short of amazing. In fact, on the incredible "Broken Vows," he positively channels his spirit! Yet, this remarkable talent easily transcends mere imitation to become a loving re-interpretation of a well-known formula. Everywhere else, the quartet is in top form, whether charging through the galloping title track, or taking their time on the wonderfully melancholy, drawn-out doom epic "Burning Saviour" -- very reminiscent of Swedish doomsters Candlemass. All things considered, Day of Reckoning remains Pentagram's best all-around effort, and provides an ideal first glimpse at this very influential, but seriously overlooked group."

All unsealed LP's are thoroughly inspected and checked for warps on a turntable. Many are then play graded. If played it will be mentioned in the description. All come with a new 3 mil poly outer sleeve for protection. All unsealed LP's also are shipped inside a new inner sleeve.

Grading

Mint Record : Perfect record. No marks or defects.

Mint Album cover: Perfect cover. No marks or defects.

M- or NM Record: Nearly perfect. High gloss. At most, a light scuff appears. Plays very well with no surface noise.

M- or NM Album cover: Nearly perfect with only minor signs of wear. There should be no ring wear.

VG++ Record: Very clean. Perhaps some light surface scuffs, no scratches. Should play and look very good with faint, if any, audible surface noise.

VG++ Album cover: Some minor ring wear, but otherwise the artwork should be mostly unaffected. Also, there can be some minor creases in the corners but no splits in seams.

VG+ Record: The record shows signs of use, but plays well despite quite visible surface marks and possibly some light scratches. This grading is often used for records which have not been cared for perfectly but still play well overall. A few very faint clicks may be allowed, and will be included in the description.

VG+ Album cover: May have corners that may be slightly bent, but not broken. There may be wear to the seams but no tears or holes. Perhaps some small writing.

VG Record: Looks used, light scratches, no gouges. Still plays fairly well. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music.

VG Album cover: There may be seam splitting, but not complete separation of the sleeve panels from each other. There will be noticeable ring wear, but most of the cover should still be in good condition.
