PLEASE NOTE: THIS ITEM COMES FROM THE INCREDIBLE, SINGLE-OWNER COLLECTION WE ACQUIRED A WHILE AGO, IN WHICH ITEMS ORIGINALLY BOUGHT BY THE OWNER FROM THE MID-'60s to THE MID-'70s WERE KEPT STILL SEALED IN A NEAR-LABORATORY, TIME-CAPSULE CONDITIONS AND IN PRACTICALLY CLIMATE- AND HUMIDITY- CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT.  CONDITIONS OF SOME OF THESE ITEMS RANGE FROM IMPECCABLE TO TRULY UNBELIEVABLE. An excellent introduction to this fine British band. For those unfamiliar with the group, they came from the duo of Burt Jansch and John Renbourne, easily two of the finest acoustic guitarists in the land in the early to mid-'60s. Jansch and Renbourne were eventually joined by Jacqui McShee, a highly accomplished singer, and rounded out by Danny Thompson and Terry Cox, one of the finest rhythm sections ever. The group tackled just about everything in their brilliant career, and this collection has a little bit of everything. Opening with a couple of early Renbourne/Jansch duo tracks, the collection continues with some early collaborations with McShee, and then moves into material from the Pentangle. Some of the high points are the wicked jazz waltz of "Train Song" and an unlikely (but amazing) cover of the pop hit "Sally Go 'Round the Roses," which goes to prove just what these great musicians were capable of. Excellent.

(a)          THE ALBUM IS STILL FACTORY SEALED AND IS BELIEVED TO BE PERFECTLY MINT. Please note: sealed items are assumed to be mint and are sold as-is, as we have no way of inspecting them. For our policy on still sealed records ►click here (PLEASE READ BEFORE PLACING A BID).

(b)            The record is  apparently pressed on a RELATIVELY  thick, inflexible vinyl. This is NOT a thin, flimsy ('dynaflex' type),  vinyl, but not the thickest, most rigid vinyl, either.

(c)           The record is believed to come in it's original “Made in Great Britain” stock inner sleeve.

(d)          Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

·       COVER

COVER IS NEAR MINT, STILL SEALED AND COVERED IN ITS ORIGINAL ►SHRINK WRAP   (A SMALL PIECE OF SHRINK WRAP IS MISSING)

The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the cover:

-         Cover has some writing on its back side (a small price code written in one corner)

-        Cover has a few tiny wrinkles along the spine (nothing significant)

-        Cover has a faint "wavy" (curly) warp across the front panel  ; this will have absolutely no effect on the record. 

-        [PLEASE NOTE: "wavy" warping on vintage British imports sealed by their American importer for distribution in the U.S. is almost universal, as British imports were slightly wider than American covers, and  the American sealing machines could not accommodate their width and height, compressing the wider UK to the slightly tighter American shrink wrap; this will self-correct after the shrink wrap has been removed and the cover properly stored for awhile]

-        No cut-out (drill) holes.

-        No cut-out corners

-        No saw-marks or indents

-        No dirt/dust rubbing stains (friction marks caused by rubbing against other covers)
