Description
Jean Jacques PERRY – Gershon KINGSLEY – THE IN SOUND FROM WAY OUT – Vanguard VSD-79222 (Stereo). Disc and Labels are Near Mint (vinyl shows some print-thru from poly-vinyl inner sleeve); Sleeve is Near Mint/Near Mint Plus (Shrink wrap is still intact, though partially separated from sleeve).
“Electronic Pop Music of the Future created by Perrey-Kingsley” is the front cover come-on written in 1966. Consisting of 12 very unique recordings, the listener will be treated to what the liner notes describe as “electrifying good-time music of the coming age . . . the switched-on dance music that will soon be it.” Very prescient that they used the term “switched-on” several years before Switched-On Bach became a hit. Perhaps this was the inspiration for "Switched-On Bach" right here. Electronic sources like Jenny Ondioline, Martenot Waves, electronic and natural instrumentation, multi-track tape recorders, scissors and splicing tape were used to create this bizarre pastiche of strange and wonderful sounds 44 years ago. Titles here are: Unidentified Flying Object; The Little Man From Mars; Cosmic Ballad; Swan’s Splashdown; Countdown At 6; Barnyard In Orbit; Spooks In Space; Girl From Venus; Electronic Can-Can; Jungle Blues From Jupiter; Computer In Love; and Visa To The Stars.
All vinyl records from VinylKing46 (eBay’s ORIGINAL VINYLKING) are pre-cleaned and inserted into paper inner sleeves before mailing to Buyer (unless factory sealed). Discs are packaged separately from LP sleeve to protect against seam splitting (unless factory sealed). LP jackets are inserted into mylar outer sleeves and albums are shipped in LP-specific boxes and packed with bubble wrap.
I grade conservatively and by Goldmine standards.
