Was It Worth It? peaked at #56 on the UK Dance Chart (Music Week), #50 on the Netherlands Singles Chart (Single Top 100), #38 in Europe (European Hot 100 Singles Chart), #25 on the Irish Singles Chart (IRMA$, #24 on the UK Singles Chart (OCC), #19 on the German Singles Chart (Official German Charts), #17 on the Swedish Singles Chart (Sverigetopplistan), #7 on the Netherlands Singles Chart (Dutch Top 40 Tipparade) and #3 on the Finnish Singles Chart (Suomen virallinen lista) between 1991-1992. Andy Kastanas from The Charlotte Observer (NC, USA) wrote, "The sacred cow of disco never died for these guys (as evidenced by this song) and there's plenty of violins and a "hi-NRG" beat to prove it."
