THE PETE BEST FOUR – I’m Gonna Knock On Your Door
ORIG Decca 45 / F 11929 (UK, Mono, 1964)
Happy to offer the rare and sole UK 45 from the original Beatles’ drummer. This rarely shows up as it bombed when first issued but it’s a decent effort with two sides of catchy pop/beat and I can bring this copy to you in well above average, barely marked condition!
The labels are in true EX (Excellent) shape – NO tears, writing, sticker residue and only minimal age/storage signs. A great, intact set of these rare labels – now 53 years of age!
The vinyl is in splendid condition – hard to fault. Maybe a couple of super feint hair type lines (short) and a miniscule mark to one side. Many would see this as almost mint and it looks lovely but I’ll say EX+ (Excellent Plus), hoping to please! Surely hard to find better at this late stage in the day!
IT HAS BEEN CAREFULLY LISTENED TO and plays fine. A little surface evident on the run-in but hardly noticeable when the music starts. NO snap, pops, ticks or clicks – GUARANTEED! NO distortion, loss of clarity/lack of definition. Sounds loud and proud!
