PETE BROWN & PIBLOKTO! - THOUSANDS ON A RAFT
Cream lyricist in tremendous form with the highly acclaimed Piblokto! line-up - every track a brilliant listen on this 1970 "under the radar" rare prog/psych gem
Year/Label : 1970 UK HARVEST Label number : SHVL 782 Matrix numbers : SHVL 782 A - 1G, SHVL 782 B - 1G Stampers : 1 G / 1 GExcellent (EX) - most would grade as "excellent plus", I am sure - condition jet black sheen vinyl - completely flat with just a few extremely faint paper scuffs and equally faint wispy hairlines on each side, all of which are non-obvious, only really detectable with close inspection under a bright light, purely superficial and and do not impinge upon the impressive stereo playback at all. Excellent very 1st press "non-EMI" labels with just a few small and extremely faint spindle trails adjacent to the centre hole on each. Fully laminated excellent plus (EX+) condition Garrod & Lofthouse outer gatefold sleeve. All colours, photos, text and art work remain beautifully intact with firm unscuffed edges and a rigid spine with all spine text remaining perfectly intact. Each corner remains a near perfectly defined right angle with hardly any rubbing at all. There is a single 1-2cm surface laminate crease adjacent and perpendicular to the spine on the front side and three similar surface laminate creases on the reverse side, but no other creasing at all and, apart from a tiny area at the bottom right corner extremity, no laminate lifting - incredible for an LP cover of this age. The inside of the gatefold is again excellent plus...I am struggling to detect any blemish at all. Hard to believe that this gatefold is 54 years of age. Near mint (NM) stereo audio quality with no skips, jumps, repeats, sticks, interference, distortion, clicks or background crackle. Simply put, great tone with crystal clear stereo audio quality throughout and every track a great listen. Comes with original & nice condition original EMI/Harvest poly lined advertising inner sleeve with no seam splits, tears or edge fraying, a little very minor creasing, just the hint of some extremely mild age discolouration towards the edges (nothing really) and remaining fully functional. A truly excellent plus condition copy of this hard to find and highly collectable UK 1st press 1970 rock rarity - surely there cannot be too many UK 1st pressings in better condition than this!

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
