PETE DOHERTY - BABYSHAMBLES

Libertines' Frontman's FIRST solo outing on 7"!! Very Rare!!!

ROUGH TRADE, HS7IN011, 2004, UNITED KINGDOM

Tracklist: Babyshambles/Slophouse

Released in the hazy days of Gig No-shows and the crumbling Libertines machine, 'Babyshambles' was a limited run 7" single featuring Doherty on guitar and vocals, Andrew Walden on bass and none other than Polar Bear super drummer Seb Rochford on drums!!

Of course, Doherty would leave the Libertines mysteriously to form his new group 'Babyshambles.' At the recording and release of this 7" however, the artist is billed simply as 'Peter Doherty.' Confused? It is unclear, at least to me, if he named the band after this, his debut solo effort, or if the song 'Babyshambles' was used as an announcement for his future project. It matters little; this a rare little piece of indie history.

CONDITION OF VINYL: NEAR MINT. The playing surface is absolutely in unplayed condition. There are NO scuffs, no marks and no needlewear. Glossy and shiny, this is in JUST BOUGHT condition! Absolutely amazing!!!

CONDITION OF SLEEVE: EXCELLENT. The sleeve is in brilliant condition, with the exception of a slight crease on the rear left corner. I suppose it's more like a kink. Other than this there are no rips, no tears, no wear anywhere on the sleeve. As you can see from the scan it is in lovely condition!!!
