Description

  • Peter Frampton released his double-disc live album "Frampton Comes Alive!" in January 1976 on A&M Records. It hit No. 1 on the charts and was his solo breakthrough album. The record went on to become one of the best selling live recordings of all time with three hit singles "Show Me The Way," "Baby I Love Your Way," and "Do You Feel Like We Do." Most of the tracks were recorded in the Fall of 1975 at Winterland in San Francisco, but there are a couple lifted from shows at the nearby Marin Civic Center, and on the east coast at the Long Island Arena and the campus of SUNY Plattsburgh in New York.

  • This copy of (SP-3703) is from the First Pressing and is in excellent condition. There is some slight wear on the gatefold cover but it easily grades VG+. Please see the pictures. Both discs test played cleanly and are VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl. It was mastered by Mike Reese at The Mastering Lab and this copy was pressed by Monarch Record Mfg. Co. in Los Angeles. The Side One dead wax is etched SP 3709-M1 TML-M (MR) ?20307(1) except The Mastering Lab (TML-M) and Monarch (MR) logos which are stamped.

  • In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.

  • Free shipping is included in the special corrugated album mailer seen in the last picture.

  • This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 45 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
