PHIL OCHS "I AIN'T MARCHING ANYMORE"
ELEKTRA RECORD cat# EKL - 287
ORIGINAL LABLE, FIRST PRESSING
*************************************************************
Here's an excellent American Folk album by a terrific contemporary of Bob Dylan - and a friend from the early days in New York City beat and jazz clubs, where folk protest music was thriving.
Phil learned that Dylan wasn't aversed to stealing his thunder..... by hearing his version of The House Of The Rising Sun and recording it before he could!
Still, it was fair game if anyone could do a credible take.
With Vietnam drafts happening, Phil was making his thoughts clear, and putting forward a case for not going!
This is quality guitar music and a cool collectable gem.
