Back to Mono 5 x vinyl LP box set by Phil Spector. Quality item that is in overall excellent to near mint condition. The box itself is very strong and sturdy (see pics) and shows hardly any sign of wear. Covers for vinyl are very good with only some creases where the line of the record is visible underneath (see pic). 2-3 of the inner sleeves have seen the disc wear through the bottom producing a small slit which varies between 5cm to 15cm in length (see pic). This does not affect the facing picture on the front or back of the sleeve so aesthetically it's unimportant but noteworthy for buyers. The vinyl has been checked using my turntable prior to posting and there are no jumps indicating no scratches. There is some crackle and minor popping mainly confined to the opening track of each side but nothing I don't think a good clean would sort. There is also a visible layer of dust on each record as the item has been unplayed and in dry storage for many years. Otherwise it still sounds good. The box set comes with a thick book detailing the songs and artists etc. including the lyrics and is decorated with pictures making it a beautiful addition to the music. Overall this box set from Phil Spector released, bought and owned from new in 1991 is a wonderful example and one that would grace any record collector or fan's collection.
