Description
This is the very rare first LP by funk soul artist Phil Upchurch entitled "You Can't Sit Down: Part Two" released on Boyd Records (a short-lived subsidiary of United Artists) as #UAL 3162. It features the original version of the Dovells' hit "You Can't Sit Down" separated into Parts One and Two on either side of the record. The record is in mono. The cover is in excellent shape with no seamsplits or fraying and just the very slightest age discoloration and the tiniest bit of ringwear along the top front (visible in the first picture). The record is shiny black with a few marks but it plays mint minus. The record is still in the original UA inner sleeve. Moments of this instrumental album can be heard as the seeds to Booker T. and the MG's and The Meters. And, oh yes, it's a great album.
