Description
Up for auction is a super nice copy of the Phil Woods/Donald Byrd album "The Young Bloods" released on Prestige Records (7080) in 1956. This is an authentic and original deep groove, mono first pressing, with RVG in the dead wax. All matching W. 50th St. NYC address on labels and back of cover. The cover is in beautiful condition, nice high gloss lamination on the front looks fresh. A little bit of lifting along the opening on the right side otherwise almost as new. Corners are sharp though upper right is a little dinged and upper left has a tiny chip. Back cover is clean, bone-white, no ring wear, no writing. Seams are strong, intact, no splits, no cracking. I'd grade this cover Near Mint Minus- (NM-). Presents very well. The vinyl is also in great shape. Nice original shiny luster is intact. Labels are bright and show no wear, no marks around the spindle holes. Very few signs of this record being handled or played much. Very clean, Near Mint faces, though Side One, Track One has a very tiny needle mark that produces a light tick for a few rotations. Play tested, this copy sounds really nice, very clean, bold sound. This album is rare in any condition, doesn't come up for sale very often, especially in this condition. One of the nicest copies I've seen, and I seriously doubt any collector would try to upgrade this one. 100% guaranteed satisfaction, no risk buying. Money back, no questions asked.
