Background -
Henryk Szeryng (22 September 1918 – 3 March 1988) was a Polish-Mexican violinist and composer.He was born in Warsaw, Poland on 22 September 1918 into a wealthy Jewish family. The surname "Szeryng" is a Polish transliteration of his Yiddish surname, which nowadays would be spelled "Shering" in the modern Yiddish-to-English transliteration.
Henryk started piano and harmony lessons with his mother when he was 5, and at age 7 turned to the violin, receiving instruction from Maurice Frenkel. After studies with Carl Flesch in Berlin (1929–32), he went to Paris to continue his studies with Jacques Thibaud at the Conservatory, graduating with a premier prix in 1937.
Szeryng made a number of recordings, including two complete cycles of sonatas and partitas for violin by Johann Sebastian Bach, and several sonatas by Beethoven and Brahms with Arthur Rubinstein. He was also first in history to record then newly discovered Niccolo Paganini's 3rd violin concerto. His recordings of Mozart and Beethoven piano and violin sonatas with Ingrid Haebler are widely esteemed.

The LP is from the ultra-rare PHILIPS series of out of print LPs.
Condition & Notes -
The vinyl LP is in excellent plus condition. The LP has a few light spider marks that can be seen, which were caused by sliding the LP in and out of the paper inner sleeve. It is in super condition for a vintage LP of this era. You will be hard pressed to find a nicer copy of this super rare LP.
The jacket is made of heavy cardboard stock and is near mint - just lovely. There are no seam splits, no discoloration - just terrific overall shape.
A Short Note About LP GRADING -Mint = Only used for sealed items.
Near Mint = Virtually flawless in every way.
Near Mint Minus = Item has some minor imperfections, some audible.
Excellent = Item obviously played and enjoyed with some noise.
Very Good Plus = Many more imperfections which are noticeable and obtrusive.
For best results, always properly clean your LPs before playing them.
This LP is an audiophile quality pressing (any collector of fine MFSL, half speeds, direct to discs, Japanese/UK pressings etc., can attest to the difference a quality pressing can make to an audio system).
