1964 - PHILLES Phil Spector 45rpm- Crystals Ronettes Love Soxx - CHRISTMAS EP X-EP - rare record
I just sold one of these a few weeks ago, and ran across this second copy in my huge radio station stash of 45 rpm's. Here is the rare PHILLES 1965 original U.S. vinyl 45 rpm "CHRISTMAS EP” by four of Phil Spector's artists: Sleigh Ride by THE RONETTES, The Bells of St. Mary by BOB B. SOXX AND THE BLUE JEANS, White Christmas by DARLENE LOVE, and Santa Claus is Comin' to Town by THE CRYSTALS. It is an ORIGINAL PHILLES 45 rpm #X-EP on black vinyl with yellow label. It had no other number but X-EP; the runoffs have "XMAS-EP-A" and "XMAS-EP-B" etched in it. This was only issued as a promo to radio stations, so it's pretty hard to find. Comes in the radio station green heavy paper sleeve. This 45 has definitely seen airplay but is in good condition with the usual surface scratches. Label still has some nice shine, but the radio station that received it put little gold stickers on each side, and wrote the date received on the label, which was 12-2-64. They also circled what evidently was their choice as the main airplay song, track #1. Nice condition for a rare record that’s nearly 50 years old; you’ll be very pleased with this showpiece! Extremely hard to find, and rarely offered in any condition.
