Description
This is an overall fine original U.S. pressing copy of the sole LP by Boston group Phluph, released in 1968. Phluph was part of the "Bosstown Sound" record company hype, and fell victim to the countercultural pushback against it, disappearing after this one record. It features catchy, mostly brief psych songs, all but one group compositions (Bob Dylan's "It Takes a Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry" is the sole cover). The jacket has a cutout hole, a 1” tear from a sticker on the front cover (see photo), ring wear and scuffing (heavier on the back cover), corner and seam wear (heavy on top), and mostly light spine and edge wear -- VG(+). The disc, by contrast, is clean with some light scraping and scuffing, and plays with occasional light surface noise (EX+). A former owner’s name is ink stamped on the side 1 label (see photo).
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
