Description

This is a lovely copy of the rare Harvest label UK sampler 'Picnic' from 1970. Containing, of course, an otherwise completely unreleased Pink Floyd track 'Embryo' as well as Syd Barrett's 'Terrapin' and tracks by The Pretty Things, Kevin Ayres, Roy Harper, Deep Purple etc. The laminated sleeve is in very strong Excellent condition, just some very light feathering to the opening edge and a few very light laminate creases. The original Harvest Sampler sticker is intact and in-situ.The inside is lovely, clean and unworn, the spine fully intact. The records are housed in original Harvest company sleeves carrying adverts for their other LP's of the time. These are beautifully clean and unworn though the polyline is coming away from the outer paper slightly. The records themselves are on the green & yellow Harvest labels without the later EMI box of course. The vinyl is lovely, beautifully shiny, clean and clearly barely played. There are just a few very light marks visible only under very bright light. Graded Mint-.The playback is just as good the faintest of background crackle occaisonally but a new sounding record essentially,no loud pops, clicks, jumps or sticks.The Floyd track plays perfectly.

Matrix info: Side 1:SHSS 1 A-2, Stampers 1 at 10, A at 3. Side 2 SHSS 1 B-1, 1 at 4,  O at 10. Side 3 SHSS 2 A-1, 1 at 4, GM at 10. Side 4 SHSS 2B-1, GO at 10, 1 at 4 

This sampler, pressed in very small quantities is becoming hard to find, this is the nicest copy I have ever seen as yet

I have been a collector for any years and a now selling most of my vinyl to fund a change of career. All records are thoroughly cleaned on my ClearAudio Smart Matrix machine and then carefully played on a Rega Planar 3 deck with Goldring cartridge. I use strict RC gradings with plus and minus to indicate variation and all records are sent out in professional mailers.
