Outstanding and desirable Italian soundtrack obscurity by the maestro. Maybe the pinnacle sound of Piccioni for lovers of his more sophisticated mid '70s sound :) Beautiful bossa lounge with electric harpsichord and piano / zither / funky basslines / modal jazz horns and surprisingly trippy synthesizers throughout STRANO MERCOLEDI' 2 with alternative versions DONNA OGGETTO NON IDENTIFICATO / STRANO MERCOLEDI' 18 and the bewitching PRESI PER INCANTAMENTO theme. A sexy film score with giallo thriller moods and delicate, baroque atmospheres too. Lightly sleazy and spacey mood music with elegant Brazilian jazz influences and exquisite classical motifs. Mesmerising, orchestations to DESCRIZIONE DI UN SOGNO and APPASSIONATA N. 2 etc. Eric Satie influenced piano motifs and psychedelic undercurrents to ALTRI LEGAMI PIU' TENUI / APPASSIONATA (main version) and LA CHATTE A' LA SATIE etc. Our soundclip opens with the majestic STRANO MERCOLEDI' 2, followed by several other important themes. A dreamy and seductive masterpiece created for the sexually-charged drama film directed by Gian Luigi Calderone starring Gabriele Ferzetti / Valentina Cortese / Ornella Muti and Elenora Giorgi. Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG
Vinyl is in shiny, strong VG++ condition (closer to M-) with a few hairlines. Light surface noises and some soft pops / ticks (as you can hear on our soundclip). The laminated card sleeve is in strong VG++ condition with light wear (mostly to the open side (front and back) that has little indentations / nick marks from staorage. A few laminate crease lines / soft corner dings / light ring wear marks and some bending in places to outer areas of the sleeve too. Camera flash glare to sleeve and label photo. Very rare OST Lp!!!
