PIERRE FOURNIER AND GERALD MOORE CELLO ENCORES
Issue : RARE UK ED1 PRESS       Label : COLUMBIA         Catalogue No : 33CX 1644

This UK rare 1st edition is on the earliest blue Columbia label. It is complete with the earliest gold text, the original inner sleeve and laminated flipback Garrod & Lofthouse, Patents Pending sleeve. The LP features chorales by Bach and Ravel’s Habanera.

The vinyl is in Excellent+ condition. The vinyl has the original jet black gloss, every track looks absolutely sensational. There are a couple of the lightest wispy marks but these do little to detract from this fabulous vinyl. It is in superb condition. The labels are extremely clean with vivid blue and bright gold text, there is just the slightest spindle wear. 


When played the sound is superb - rich, bold and extremely clear. Excellent audio clarity and separation throughout. 


The laminated sleeve is in Excellent condition. This sleeve shows wear very easily but we are pleased to say it is very solid and extremely clean. The text is sharp, the white is bright and the gold is vivid. There is a small split on the bottom edge and a little wear on the opening edge otherwise the edges are extremely firm. The rear of the sleeve has some discolouration but is bright. The flipbacks are complete and sealed, the text is sharp and the whole sleeve has the original light sheen. The spine is superb, very firm with clear text.
