Description of the record:

This is a treble 12” vinyl album by PIL called “Metal Box”. The metal box is in Ex condition no dents, rust etc only slightly tarnished (see pictures). The 4 inner sheets have some sticky tape marks on them and the lyrics from the NME advert have been attached to 2 of the inner sheets (see picture). The information sheet is in VG condition with a small blue tack mark in each corner as it was attached to the inside of the tin lid (see picture). The records have been removed from the tin to prevent any damage occurring to the records and placed in white inner sleeves. This is an original release on the “Virgin” label; catalogue number “METAL 1” The records have been pressed on black vinyl and have been graded as follows:

Side 1: Graded Ex

Side 4: Graded Ex apart from a small scratch at the beginning of “No birds”. 12 clicks no jumping.

The records wer graded using a Linn Adikt cartridge combined with a Gyger 2 stylus through an audiophile system. For grading definitions see the bottom of this advert.

Guarantee:

Having played the records all the way through I guarantee the person who buys the records will not be disappointed; taking the grading into account. However if the item does not meet with the customers expectation then a full refund will be given if the item is returned in the same condition as it was sent. The refunding of postage and packaging will depend on the nature of the dissatisfaction.

Packaging:

The records will be packaged appropriately to prevent any damage from occurring during transit.

Posting times:

Items will be posted the next working day after payment has been received or cleared.

If more than one item is purchased, where possible, postage and packaging will be combined to give the cheapest and most appropriate postal option.

Definitions of Record Grading:

 

M = Mint

 

M sleeve: No wear of any kind to the sleeve.

 

M record: No wear what so ever to the record. Any mint records in this collection will have been played only a handful of times.

 

Ex = Excellent

 

Ex sleeve: Some slight wear to the cover; some impression to the cover; no seam splits.

 

Ex record: Minimal wear; some scuffs; record plays close to perfect.

 

VG = Very Good

 

VG sleeve: Some ageing; minor wear to seams or spine; minor creasing, some impression.

 

VG record: Some surface scratching; some back ground noise but not obtrusive.

 

Gd = Good

 

Gd sleeve: Cover in poor condition; seam splits; tears.

 

Gd record: Surface scratching; back ground noise is obtrusive.
