Starting to downsize and release some of my eclectic record collection and for auction here is my copy of Pink Fairies "Never Neverland".
This is the original UK 1971 release and a first pressing "Special Edition in Stencilled PVC Outer, containing a Gatefold Card & Picture Inner".

OK - so down to all important condition:  Vinyl - visually is Poor but surprisingly, despite the amount of serious abuse this received in the 1970's by my brother & his mates, it still plays relatively OK. There are scratches [photographed as best I can some of the worst ones] and so clicks where they are but doesn't skid the needle across the LP, just the usual cracks when they hit and in some places the odd skip / jump to next groove. It has some blemishes which don't affect play but visually not so great!  In addition, there are a lot of pops and background crackles [more than usual for a record of this age] BUT it still plays warmly. I am listening to it again this morning [played for first time in years last night] and sounds better with each play so perhaps the stylus is cleaning it up a bit [new one inserted last week in prep for selling some vinyl].  
Please remember before shouting sacrilegious expletives that back in the early 1970's music was shared around, stacked on old record players, taken to parties [and this went to a lot of teenage parties] and often the record player was jogged, LPs taken out of sleeves, piled on each other and generally used like Frisbees [sound familiar??].
So as stated, I am surprised that this has survived the abuse it received without ending up as an ashtray, a clock or in the rubbish bin [many did including my original, first week of release Dark Side of the Moon :( ].
So despite its visuals being bad, the labels are in p[retty good shape still, and no tears or rips or writing on them.
Outer PVC Sleeve: OK this is very poor but still here nearly 50 years later!!  There is a tear to the upper edge about 4" long and the bottom edge and left corner are duck tapedwhich has lasted suprisingly well over the years!!  The problem was this outer was a very tight fit and trying to put the card inners etc back in was somewhat tricky sober!!  A bit of force was oft used but who knew a shiny Mint one would be worth so much back then!  Have taken a few pictures of this as it is what defines its release version.
Inner Card Sleeve. This isn't too bad and despite being a bit grubby here and there, no tears I can see just the usual rubbings at the edges and corners. This was at the time mainly down to trying to find the inside of the cover but there isn't one, the inner inner sleeve and vinyl rested inside this sleeve! but many sticky fingers and thumbs tried!!  corners and extreme edges have usual wear from placement in record storage and removal etc.
Inner Inner White Sleeve: This has deteriorated on each edge and folds out only hanging together in a few places on the bottom edge!! It has browned badly at the edges. However it is still here and its the original inner sleeve with the Fairies pictured peeking out the bushes and the track listings and other details one would normally find on the back cover of an LP.
Overall then it doesn't sound great but I still think its a salvageable rare piece of vinyl history and with a proper deep clean and possibly repair via a professional vinyl repair machine [if such still exist although I am sure there used to be a machine which took out scratches and cleared up the vinyl brilliantly back in the day!] can grace someone's collection.

Please Note: I only clean lightly with a branded vinyl [record] cleaner and an anti static cloth although this one got a really good clean first. New owners will be best to use their favoured product(s) to clean. As this is quite old, it will benefit from a more deep clean to remove any deep down dust trapped in the grooves.
Will be posted out 1st class signed for via Royal Mail ~ packaged using a bespoke Vinyl cardboard envelope with cardboard stiffener.

Home collection is always offered to save post & packing costs.
