PINK FLOYD COLLECTION of 3 Italian PICTURE SLEEVE 45s & APPLES AND ORANGES [UK] 

On offer is a collection of 4 PINK FLOYD 45 rpm records as follows:

1.    Italian Picture Sleeve HARVEST 3C 006-05459: Point me at the sky / Careful with that axe Eugene. This is the 1978 Italian re-issue (original Italian release was 1973). Identified as a 1978 re-issue because it has 6-11-78 machine stamped matrix on A side and the B side has 20-9-73. Picture sleeve in EX- condition: vinyl visually in EX/EX- condition. See scans.

2.    Italian Picture Sleeve HARVEST 3C 006-05368 Money / Any colour you like. This is the 1973   original blue Egyptian pyramid picture sleeve issue: with an advert for The Dark Side of the Moon LP on the back cover – see scans. Disc identified as a 1973 original as it has 25-5-73 1 machine stamped matrix on both the A side and the B side. Picture sleeve is in VG condition: vinyl is in nice VG+ condition.

3.    Italian Picture Sleeve HARVEST 3C 006-05013: One of these days / Fearless. This is the 1972 original picture sleeve issue. Disc identified as a 1972 original as it has 1-3-72 machine stamped matrix on both the A side and the B side. Vinyl is in EX condition: picture sleeve is in VG condition with some stain marks on the back. See scans.

4.    UK COLUMBIA DB 8310 Apples and Oranges c/w Paint Box. This is a solid centre 1967 issue in its original Columbia sleeve. Record has lots of marks and scuffs and looks very worn. On the plus side: it plays right through on both sides [no skips or jumps] – and it has no ‘deep’ scratches – and - as such it seems to fit the Record Collector Grading System as slightly better than FAIR … ‘The record is still payable but has not been cared for properly and displays a lot of surface noise’… It is suitable as a collection filler only - until that better copy comes along to replace it in a Pink Floyd collection.

MINT (M) THE RECORD ITSELF IS IN BRAND NEW CONDITION WITH NO SURFACE MARKS OR DETERIORATION IN SOUND QUALITY. THE COVER AND ANY EXTRA ITEMS SUCH AS THE LYRIC SHEET, BOOKLET OR POSTER ARE IN PERFECT CONDITION. RECORDS ADVERTISED AS SEALED OR UNPLAYED SHOULD BE MINT.

EXCELLENT (EX) THE RECORD SHOWS SOME SIGNS OF HAVING BEEN PLAYED, BUT THERE IS VERY LITTLE LESSENING IN SOUND QUALITY. THE COVER AND PACKAGING MIGHT HAVE SLIGHT WEAR AND/OR CREASING.

VERY GOOD (VG) THE RECORD HAS OBVIOUSLY BEEN PLAYED MANY TIMES, BUT DISPLAYS NO MAJOR DETERIORATION IN SOUND QUALITY, DESPITE NOTICEABLE SURFACE MARKS AND THE OCCASIONAL LIGHT SCRATCH. NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR ON THE COVER OR EXTRA ITEMS, WITHOUT ANY MAJOR DEFECTS, IS ACCEPTABLE.

GOOD (G) THE RECORD HAS BEEN PLAYED SO MUCH THAT THE SOUND QUALITY HAS NOTICEABLY DETERIORATED, PERHAPS WITH SOME DISTORTION AND MILD SCRATCHES. THE COVER AND CONTENTS SUFFER FROM FOLDING, SCUFFING OF EDGES, SPINE SPLITS, DISCOLOURATION, ETC.

Fair (F)  The record is still just payable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise

THE USE OF PLUS (+) OR MINUS (-) ALLOWS FOR ITEMS THAT FALL BETWEEN THE ABOVE GRADES.
