2LP collection of the first two Floyd LPs.

In original uncensored gatefold sleeve with the “W.R. Phang”dental surgery picture in the front top right corner.  Picture changed on later issues.

Original Harvest labels with “THE GRAMOPHONE CO LTD.” label rim text instead of the later “EMI records” text.

Original blue and green inner picture sleeves.  These are the original inners sometimes referred to as “square-cut” (top corners cut at 45o  angles).  Later inners had rounded top corners.

CONDITION:       I strive to provide an accurate and honest appraisal of condition.  It’s in my best interests to do so.  I WANT YOU TO COME BACK!    All records are checked in good light and play tested at a loud volume (unless described as sealed, brand new or stated otherwise).   All used records are cleaned using a Moth vacuum record cleaning machine prior to play testing.    STRICT  U.K. MAGAZINE  'RECORD COLLECTOR'  GRADING SYSTEM USED.

SUPERB OVERALL PLAYING CONDITION!     Playing condition for 90% of the album is EX.     ‘Piper…’ on its own grades as EX+.       Plays with a little bit of background surface noise in places on the ‘Saucerful…’ album, touch more noticeable for a short spell on the title track.   Tiny marks cause consecutive audible pops for the last 30 seconds of side4.      NO loud crackle,   NO distortion,     NO jumps,   NO sticking. 

Visually, ‘Piper…’ grades as NrMINT.   Just a couple of light marks – not immediately noticeable.     ‘Saucerful….’ grades as EX.  Just a few more noticeable marks, would grade higher if not for the previously mentioned marks at the very end of side4.     No marks that feel to the touch.   Both discs still retains their original sheen.

Labels in NrMINT condition.   Few and light spindle marks evident if looked at in a certain angle.   All text perfectly readable.      NO writing.  NO tears.   NO stickers.

Sleeve is in NrMINT condition.   Sleeve was kept in an outer plastic cover since new.     On close inspection the only faults are what looks like some very small areas of sticker residue to the front top right hand corner and a similar size mark on the back.   These are very faint, no longer sticky and have not resulted in any tears to the sleeve.      No obvious corner wear.    Spine is practically perfect - all spine text perfectly readable.   Lovely and neat inside the gatefold sleeve.    Virtually as new.      NO writing.     NO tears.   NO seam splits.      

Small tear to the top left corner of blue inner.    Green inner has a 2” seam split along the bottom edge.  These are the only faults with the inners.   NO writing.  NO stickers.  NO creases.

MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint

EXCELLENT (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG) The record has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratches. Normal wear and tear on the cover and extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable

GOOD (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeable deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and or deface

POOR (P) The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing

BAD (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken and is only of use as a collection filler
