The most recent mailers that I use for single cover lps and 12" singles are extremely strong however they are very difficult to get the LPs out from so I now slit one side of the mailer and tape it back up. In that way it will enable the purchaser to gain access to the record more easily and to avoid damaging it in the process!!

PINK FLOYD and a MONO VINYL FIRST PRESSING OF THEIR CLASSIC LP BUT WITH A FIRST PRESSING LAMINATED FLIP BACK SEAMED STEREO SLEEVE.

Released by COLUMBIA in 1968.

Catalogue numbers are SCX 6258 FOR THE SLEEVE AND SX 5258 FOR THE RECORD.

MY APOLOGIES FOR THIS SWITCH BUT THIS MUST HAPPENED MANY YEARS AGO AND DEFINITELY BEFORE MY OWNERSHIP. I HAVE NO IDEA WHEN BUT MAYBE A CRAZY PARTY IN 60s or 70s!

RECORD:

THE VINYL is graded to be VERY GOOD CONDITION.

I feel that this term maybe misleading as this record has obviously been played many times and there are plenty of surface scuffs and light scratches and wear to labels such as spindle marks.

The record is not warped and probably will play without skipping or jumping but there will be a fair amount of surface noise.

This record in my opinion is a collection filler or is being offered to enable somebody who has the opposing part, (either the stereo record or mono sleeve), to make a pair!

MAIN SLEEVE

The main sleeve is graded as being in at least a VERY GOOD+ CONDITION.

If nothing else it would look great framed as a classic piece of 1960s Psychedelic Artwork!

The sleeve construction is as you would expect for this pressing so a laminated front with flipback seems to a mat-card rear.

FRONT: There are a number of short spine and edge creases, a few more extensive creases, wear to the corners as shown,  ringwear and a little light impression of some letters under the "n" and "k" of Pink Floyd at the top of the sleeve. See photos.

REAR: There is some light wear and creasing to the flip back seams and some evidence of ringwear, some creases and a few circular impressions to the centre of the sleeve.

There are NO tears NO other writing and NO repairs.

The SPINE is in GOOD CONDITION and the details of the lp can be read.

There are some small spine creases and some moderate wear evident to the top and bottom of the spine that links to the corner wear already mentioned.

INNER SLEEVE:

This sleeve is in EXCELLENT- CONDITION.

This is a plastic-lined paper inner sleeve with some text referring to an "EMITEX " cleaning cloth indicating EMI (and the rear of the main cover also has graphics to the bottom right-hand corner suggesting the use of the EMITEX cleaning material).

There is some writing for a previous record with catalogue number EALV1281 in 3 corners.

There is some creasing and light tanning and one small nick to the open edge.

The RECORD will be sent wrapped in plastic and will be sent in a stiff lp card mailer.
