For sale is an incredibly early (in fact the earliest you can get!) and great condition First U.K. stereo issue of Pink Floyd’s second album A Saucerful of Secrets.
Original laminated fold back sleeve in really excellent condition with no issues to raise. Hardly a crease in the laminate, no tears and no writing
Original authentic inner sleeve in excellent condition
Record pressed both sides with the very first stampers- 1G. Would be among first 500 copies pressed.
Record sits fully flat on the turntable
Labels clean with minimal spindle wear
Visually side one is a VG, with a few light scuffs and hairlines and one short scratch at the beginning which does not affect the playback.
Sonically plays a strong VG with occasional crackles in quiet passages and a few very light ticks on track 2. No sticks skips or jumps
Side two is visually a strong VG .
Sonically also a strong VG, with light crackles in some quiet passages and a few light ticks on track one and some surface noise at the very end of the side. No sticks skips or jumps.
Therefore a highly desirable copy of a great album with the Holy Grail 1G stampers both sides. Whilst not of audiophile archive quality, it is a very enjoyable listen.
