HERE WE HAVE A WELL PLAYED BUT STILL EXTREMELY PRESENTABLE UK COLUMBIA (SCX 6258) SECOND *STEREO* PRESSING OF PINK FLOYD'S CLASSIC "A Saucerful Of Secrets" LP WHICH DELIVERS SENSATIONAL RICH, WARM AUDIO WITH A TREMENDOUSLY IMPRESSIVE LOUD CUT AND SOUNDS ABSOLUTELY SUPERB

THE RECORD HAS OBVIOUSLY ONLY EVER BEEN PLAYED ON HIGH END EQUIPMENT AS THE AUDIO IS AN IMPRESSIVE EXCELLENT
THE ORIGINAL, FRONT LAMINATED 'GARROD & LOFTHOUSE' FLIPBACK SLEEVE - identical to the first press sleeve and date coded '6807' (1968, July), IS ALSO IN EXCELLENT CONDITION
THE ORIGINAL EMI COMPANY ADVERTISING INNER SLEEVE IS NEAR MINT

Front Cover: Hipgnosis designed, front laminated tri-flipback sleeve.
Back Cover: At top foldover of back cover it says "File under POPULAR : Pop Groups." At bottom foldover of back cover it says "6807 TPS Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. Patents pending SX6258 / SCX6258"
Inner Sleeve: EMI advertising inner. "E.M.I. Records (The Gramophone Company Ltd.) Hayes - Middlesex - England, Made and Printed in Great Britain" at the bottom.
Label: Black Columbia label with silver text, ONE white EMI logo in small rectangle at bottom, and white "Columbia" in large rectangle with lines on each side at top.
Text around the top edge of the label starts at 8 o'clock and says: The Gramophone Co., Ltd. All rights of the manufacturer and of the owner of the recorded work reserved. Unauthorized public performance, broadcasting, and copying of this record prohibited.
Text around the bottom edge of the label starts at 7 o'clock and says: Made in GT Britain - Sold in U.K. subject to resale price conditions. See price lists.

VERY NICE UK SECOND PRESSING OF THE PINK FLOYD CLASSIC WHICH EVEN THOUGH WELL PLAYED STILL DELIVERS ABSOLUTELY SENSATIONAL AUDIO

LABELS: The labels are CLEAN and BRIGHT with a little hole wear and quite a few spindle traces but no other marks. The LP has obviously been well played but also very well cared for
VINYL Visual: The vinyl still retains its DEEP, GLOSSY SHEEN. There are some light marks on the surfaces but these have NO major audio consequence (see detailed assessment below)
VINYL Audio: BEAUTIFUL, DEEP, RICH SOUND - CRYSTAL CLEAR, VERY SHARP and VERY STRONG. PF at their experimental best. There are NO jumps, NO sticks, NO scratches, barely any clicks/pops (really, hardly any) and only some occasional light patches of surface noise (very minor, nothing continuous and certainly nothing I found at all intrusive on play-grading this MASTERPIECE). There is also a very small mark on the run-in on Side One which causes TWO light sounds as it is passed over but again, very minor). The LP plays BEAUTIFULLY THROUGHOUT to a high standard with GREAT CLARITY, NO distortion or discernible groove-wear and must be very critically graded EXCELLENT for audio. TREMENDOUS LP and NOT over-graded in ANY way as I use strict RECORD COLLECTOR grading standards (please refer to my feedback and 'about me' page)
SLEEVE: The FRONT LAMINATED TRI-FLIPBACK sleeve is also in EXCELLENT condition. CLEAN and BRIGHT with a BEAUTIFUL DEEP GLOSS to the front laminate with only a little 'ring' and a CLEAN, UNMARKED back (the original owner has written the date '28-2-70' in the bottom corner - please see close up photo). The edges of the sleeve have hardly any wear and all text on the spine (just PINK FLOYD) is CLEAR and SHARP. Very nice, well preserved example of this original tri-flipback sleeve
