PRESSED ON MID/HEAVYWEIGHT VINYL (143g) WITH THE FIRST ISSUE BLUE/BLACK COLUMBIA LABELS WHICH CARRY "THE GRAMOPHONE CO" RIM TEXT AND "SOLD IN UK…" STATEMENT
MATRIX: YAX 3633 - 1 / YAX 3634 - 1
MOTHERS/STAMPERS: 1/R and 1/A (very early - in the batch of the first 900 or so pressed)
THE LP IS HOUSED IN THE ORIGINAL FRONT LAMINATED TRI-FLIPBACK SLEEVE “Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. Patents pending” WITH "File Under POPULAR: Pop Groups" IN THE TOP BACK CORNER
COMPLETE WITH THE ORIGINAL TINTED "PATENTS APPLIED FOR" EMI COMPANY ADVERTISING INNER SLEEVE

Side 2: A Saucerful Of Secrets / See-Saw / Jugband Blues
LABELS: EXCELLENT
The labels are clean and unmarked with very little wear to the central hole and moderate spindle traces
VINYL Visual: EXCELLENT
Both surfaces retain their original deep glossy sheen with no dulling. There are a few superficial marks which can be seen in normal light and wispy sleeve removal hairlines under bright light but none of these have any significant audible impact
VINYL Audio: EXCELLENT
Stunning audio performance to these first pressings - loud, strong and incredibly vibrant with amazing depth and clarity to the sound and my play-check at loud volume found no major audio issues of note - no scratches and no grove-wear or distortion - just a little surface on the run-ins and some of the quietest passages and an isolated click/pop here and there (but nothing I found in the slightest intrusive) - plays extremely well throughout and sounds absolutely sensational - very nice copy - the finest I've heard for a while
SLEEVE: EXCELLENT-
The flipback cover is in great shape with a deep glossy sheen to the front laminate and a clean back. The edges and spine have no wear to speak of (all spine text is clear and bold) and apart from a small (2.5cm) split at the bottom opening edge (reducing the grading slightly - please see close-up photo) this is a very fine example indeed

Clean and unmarked - no seam splits
