ANIMALS A3/B4
This A3/B4 pressing is in wonderful condition for its age. The vinyl is so clean it looks brand new. The mothers and stampers are both made up of numbers which is a rare occurrence for this LP.

Visual grading
Under a strong bright light this vinyl is in superb condition and retains a stunning glossy sheen you only get with new vinyl. I cannot detect any hairlines or any spindle wear and it is obvious it has been hardly played down the years, if at all. There are certainly no scratches and is one of the cleanest looking vinyls of this age I have seen in a long time.
Play grading
There is some light static during 'Pigs on the Wing1' but is not intrusive at all and still plays with great clarity. 'Dogs' begins superbly with no background noise but then you can hear two clicks. Thereafter the audio is stunning with barely any background noise accept for a couple of light clicks in the middle. The quality belies its age that's for sure. The ending plays with a little static perhaps but is relatively free of the distortion you often find with this track.
There is only minimal light static at the beginning of 'Pigs (Three Different Ones)'. The track then plays with audio that reaches almost Near Mint standards. I heard just one pop and the lightest of intermittent static but the clarity and depth of sound is excellent. The very quiet intro to 'Sheep' plays fantastically well and the clarity again is sublime. The remainder of the track plays with the same quality and is definitely one of best I have ever heard. Amazingly good audio for an LP nearing 40 years old. 'Pigs On The Wing2' ends the side with Mint audio, no background noise at all, so rare for this quiet track.
Gatefold cover
The original G & L gatefold cover is in excellent condition with only minor rubbing on the edges mainly restricted to the corners. The cover is extremely clean and has no marks. You often find with this cover that the inside has a lot of 'spotting' but this one has very little and is very clean indeed. The back cover does have some creasing bottom left and some rubbing to the edge but as can be seen from the photos this gatefold is better than so many you see.
It has no bar code as per the first presses and also has the front edge of the gatefold sealed with a foldunder. In the lower right corner, it says "Made and printed in Great Britain 7701 TM Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd."
Lyric sleeve
The cardboard lyric inner has the rounded corners as per the first pressings. It is in wonderful condition bar one very small area of wear on the left side. Other than that it is almost like new with hardly any creasing.
It has the 9-inch notch on the edge that opens and in the lower right corner is the catalogue number "SHVL 815(I)"
Labels
In superb condition I have not seen better, no spindle wear or marks at all.
