SUPERB COPY OF PINK FLOYD - ANIMALS UK HARVEST SHVL 815 - 1977 FIRST ISSUE A 2U - B 2U

 First issue. No bar code on the cover. Early issues have a thick cardboard cover with the front edge of the gatefold sealed with a foldunder, and a wide spine.
Black cardboard inner sleeve with lyrics on it. Round corners, and a 9-inch notch on the edge that opens. In the lower right corner is the catalog number: "SHVL 815(I)."

Text around the bottom edge of the label starts at 7 o'clock and says:  Made in Great Britain. Unauthorised public performance, broadcasting, and copying of this record prohibited.

THE JACKET IS NEAR MINT - PROTECTED IN A THICK PLASTIC COVER SINCE NEW, IT HAS RETAINED THE MINT CONDITION OF THE ORIGINAL 1977 SLEEVE, WITH NO SPLITS - SHOWS NO  WEAR OR BUMPING TO EDGES AND CORNERS ON MEDIUM WEIGHT UK CARDBOARD - NO WRITING OR LABELS! - SHOWS NO RING WEAR - THE MATT FINISH IS AS JUST FROM THE PLANT!

THE SPINE IS THE THICKER 1ST ISSUE TYPE AND ABSOLUTELY PERFECT

IT IS A FACT THAT THE UK PRESSING IS FAR SUPERIOR TO THE US VERSION AND THIS DISC IS A FIRST ISSUE FROM EARLY STAMPERS

A SUPERB LP EARLY RUN, FIRST ISSUE, WITH MINTY INNER SLEEVE AND COVER AND RARE TO FIND IN THIS CONDITION!

FINALLY ONE LAST WORD RE HAIRLINES, IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ANY NON SEALED RECORD WITHOUT THEM, MANY HAD THEM FROM NEW. MOSTLY THEY ARE A RESULT OF STORAGE AND USE AND USUALLY HAVE LITTLE IMPACT ON THE SOUND QUALITY. THE SAME GOES FOR BACKGROUND NOISE, UNFORTUNATELY ALL RECORDS WILL HAVE SOME AND THIS VARIES AND REFLECTS THE PRESSING QUALITY. 

Most records have production marks where someone touched or moved the vinyl while it was still semi-soft.  These marks look like smudges, but are not scratches or "paper scuffs" and do not usually sound.  Untouched vinyl from newly-opened records have these marks.

How I Grade Condition Of Discs

Mint

This means I have owned it from new or purchased from a distributors warehouse, basically it means absolutely new shape, never been played or out of its dust cover. In the case of LP's, a North American album will have to be factory sealed (anyone can reseal an album!) Take Note: European and Japaneses albums were never shrink wrapped!

Note: Being mint does not guarantee it's free of pops and clicks, many pressings especially from the US were made with very poor vinyl and in a hurry which means often there are imperfections in the pressing. As a former importer, we were often given back brand new albums due to clicks heard in the playback.

Mint Minus - No such thing, it's either mint or not.

Excellent - A disc is super clean, with no visible marks

 Excellent Plus, means it's probably mint but can't be proven by me.

Excellent minus, is a disc that is excellent except it may have some markings that do not show up in the playing

VG - A disc that is STILL in good shape, WILL have some scuffs or scratches, not in excellent shape but well worth owning. VG + and ++,a disc that is that much better than VG.
