Description
Very good quality copy of this superb Floyd classic. With punk at its height, they stripped back their sound and got angry, riding out the revolutuion that saw most prog bans fall by the wayside.
On Harvest records, number SHVL 815 (I), pressings on vinyl are side A: '2U' B: '2U'.
I know there are multiple versions of this record, and I'm not knoweldbale enough to claim which this is, I belive its early, so I'll just present the information here. If anyone has any questions or would like further information please feel free to contact me.
Vinyl condition:
Side 1:
- Pigs On The Wing 1
- Dogs
Superb sound quality for the music, a slight very, very light crackle on the intro, other than its brilliant throughout, bright and clear with minimal surface noise throughout, drums and acoustic guitars sound particularly good.
Side 2:
- Pigs (Three Different Ones)
- Sheep
- Pigs On The Wing 2
Again, quality is generally excellent throughout, it sounds fantastic with minimal surface noise generally, there is a slight repeated (3 or 4 times) low volume pop on the intro to Pigs (Three Different Ones) and a slight pop towards the end, other than that its pretty much flawless.
Sleeve Condition: Outer; generally very good, there is evidence of a record shop sticker in the top right hand corner but the discolouration isn't too bad (see attached photo), both the front and rear have some light marks. Spine is good, clear, two light tracks mark where the gatefold is opened.
Gatefold inner; white specks here and there, but generally good.
Inner sleeve: generally very good, on the reverse sleeve there are a couple of marks down at the bottom, looks like there has been a couple of spots there and its been given a clean.
All in all, excellent condition for its age, I was happy when I bought it in a record shop 15 years ago, and its been well kept since.
