VERY RARE ORIGINAL 1970 UK FIRST PRESSING of Harvest SHVL 781 (No EMI) Atom Heart Mother in excellent condition with the original gatefold cover.
Only one careful owner.
Atom Heart Mother (1970) by Pink Floyd:
Original 1970 UK Harvest SHVL 781 Stereo LP with first issue Garrod & Lofthouse Gatefold Cover and the Original Harvest Label Advertising Liner Sleeve advertising Ummagumma, Syd Barrett, Deep Purple, etc.
A VERY HARD TO FIND FIRST PRESSING, complete and original, with the first issue sleeve, cover and the labels that have 'The Gramophone Co Ltd' wording and OMIT the EMI logos.
Vinyl:- Excellent+ - both sides light play, no marks
Labels:- Very Good, light use, small ink mark on edge of Side 1 label
Sleeve:- Good, showing light wear with some scuff marks (see photos)
First press 1G ending matrix stamps:
Side1. ''SHVL 781 A-1G'' (1ST PRESS ONLY)
Side2. ''SHVL 781 B-1G'' (1ST PRESS ONLY)
An ORIGINAL AND COMPLETE FIRST UK PRESSING is VERY rare, highly collectable and extremely hard to find, especially in this condition with the vinyl retaining the original beautiful sheen.
The original heavy vinyl is only found on earliest pressings and is in excellent condition.
Inside Cover: "7010 TPS Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd Patent no 943,895 SHVL 781."(only 1st issue covers)
Labels: the original yellow and green Harvest issue with "The Gramophone Co Ltd" and no EMI logo (only 1st press, later pressings have a small EMI logo). At the bottom of the label, it says "Made in GT Britain."
I purchased this album from new and it has been in my personal collection ever since.
