1977 UK very 1st press Floyd prog gem - increasingly hard to find, especially in such great condition as this
Year/Label : 1977 UK HARVEST Label number : SHVL 815 Matrix numbers : SHVL 815 A-2U, SHVL 815 B-2U Stampers : 1 RM / 1 GP (the "M" is difficult to make out, could even be "1.1")Excellent plus (EX+) condition vinyl - completely flat and retaining a beautiful jet black lacquered sheen, coming across as unmarked in normal daylight and it is only with close inspection under a bright light that just the very occasional small and extremely faint paper scuff line can be detected. The labels are in excellent plus (EX+) condition also - I can just about make out a very small and extremely faint single spindle trail adjacent to the centre hole on each label, otehrwise perfect otherwise perfect. Clearly this is a record that has been played only a few times. At least very good plus (VG+) condition Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold outer sleeve with firm edges and beautiful 1st press extra wide spine with all spine text remaining perfectly intact. There is some intermittent light scuffing on the bottom edges with a 4cm continuous scuff on the reverse side bottom edge adjacent to the right corner, and a 3cm continuous scuff in the middle of the reverse side top edge where there is also a hint of some very faint pink felt tip - do take a close look at my photos. There is also the very occasional tiny edge "nick" and a little mild rubbing on the spine corners all of which otherwise remain nicely defined right angles. There is no cardboard creasing, no unwanted writing, all colours, art work, photos and text remain vibrant and beautifully intact, and the interior of the gatefold remains near perfect. Eminently presentable! The cardboard lyric inner sleeve (rounded on all corners and with opening notch on the top edge as synonymous with UK 1st pressings) is near perfect with none of the usual seam splits, no creasing and just a little intermittent and very light scuffing on the bottom edge. Superb, excellent plus (EX+) sound quality with no sticks, skips, repeats, clicks, distortion or background crackle - wonderful tone and crystal clear stereo reproduction throughout with brilliant hard-to-fault sound quality throughout. I think I detected a couple of very minor background static crackles on side 2 but this is no more than you would expect from a brand new record. Note that I always ship the vinyl in a new plain white inner sleeve in order to protect the original. A truly excellent condition copy of this 1977 UK 1st press Pink Floyd classic, increasingly hard to come by especially in condition as impressive as this.

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
