Complete and original 1st pressing with A-2U B-2U matrix, original wide spine sleeve and card inner sleeve.
 
 
Grading: -
 
Outer Sleeve:  VG+
 
The outer gatefold sleeve exhibits moderate wear. The sleeve has no worrying faults, but a certain amount of wear to the surfaces, edges and spine.  This is far from being a worn-out sleeve, but it does display the sort of general wear that is extremely common to this particular LP.
 
Vinyl: EX-
 
The vinyl is graded at EX- and retains it’s deep black gloss shine. This is a very clean copy which shows only a light to moderate amount of hairlines on the surface of the LP. Some of these hairlines are slightly heavier than sleeve removal hairlines but they are still light and not worryingly deep or prominent.  A nice copy in above average condition.
 
 
Matrix:
 
Side 1: SHVL 815 A-2U 3 AL 
Side 2: SHVL 815 B-2U 2 MO
                       
 
Labels: EX+
 
The Labels are in EX+ condition –clean and undamaged. when the label is viewed under strong halogen light a moderate amount of spindle lines can be seen which are close to the centre hole.
 
Inner Sleeve: VG+
 
The original thick card inner with wide tab opening is in VG+ condition. It is clean, and generally undamaged apart from 3 feint “thumb notch” creases and some wear to the bottom edge which has resulted in a very tiny seam split. However, the majority of the visible wear has not actually resulted in more than just a small split to the seam. 
 
 
Overall this is a respectable 1st press copy of Animals with correct and first A-2U B-2U matrix.  Whilst the sleeve and inner exhibit some wear, the vinyl is in nice condition.
 
Postage and Packing:
 
All records are placed in a separate poly lined inner and stored flat outside the sleeve and then placed sealed in a re-sealable polythene outer prior to shipping.  Records are then placed between square cardboard sheets before packaging into cruciform mailers especially designed for LP’s. These mailers are a high grade type which reinforce the edges around the LP and as such they are larger and weigh more than standard mailers.  My postage costs reflect the additional size and weight of the packaging that I use. Despite using high quality packing materials, I only charge the actual costs of postage.
