This listing is for an EXTREMELY RARE TRUE 1st US Pressing of Pink Floyd "Atom Heart Mother" released in 1970 by Harvest Records SKAO 382. This gorgeous example is still original shrinkwrap!
This is an extremely rare opportunity! FIRST PRESSING examples of this classic album still in the FACTORY SHRINK WITH THE TITLE STICKER are nearly IMPOSSIBLE to find!
There are a lot of misconceptions regarding Atom Heart Mother. Most collectors don't know the difference between a first pressing and the later pressings.
The 1st pressings were very unique. The title of the album was actually on a sticker on the OUTSIDE of the shrinkwrap. Also, the sky on the cover is a light blue, not the bright blue-green you see in the second and third pressings.
This is 100% GUARANTEED to be a first pressing! See the photos and you can see this sticker on the front cover of the ORIGINAL SHRINKWRAP. Breathe holes are also present. Again, the sticker is on the OUTSIDE of the shrinkwrap which indicates this is a true 1st pressing.
ONLY THE TRUE 1ST PRESSINGS HAD THE LIGHT BLUE SKY AND NO TITLE PRINTED ON THE ACTUAL COVER. SO ONCE THE SHRINKBWAS REMOVED, THE TITLE WAS GONE!
CONDITION: This album cover which is still in the original factory shrink wrap is in solid NEAR MINT (or better) condition! The shrinkwrap does show separation near the spine.
The vinyl is over 50 years old and still in PRISTINE condition! The Amoeba Harvest labels are gorgeous! The original plain white inner sleeve is included. Please view photos carefully prior to bidding!
