PINK FLOYD - ATOM HEART MOTHER

Increasingly hard to find and great condition 1971 UK 1st press Floyd prog gem

Year/Label : 1971 UK HARVEST Label number : SHVL 781 Matrix numbers : SHVL 781 A - 1G, SHVL 781 B - 1G Stampers :  1 AP  /  2 AM
Excellent plus (EX+) condition vinyl (some would grade as "near mint", I am sure) - completely flat, weighty and retaining a beautiful jet black lacquered sheen, coming across as unmarked in normal daylight and even with close inspection under a bright light difficult to find any blemishes at all - perhaps just a couple of small and extremely faint paper scuff hairlines - nothing really. The labels are in excellent plus (EX+) condition also - with really close inspection I can just about identify a solitary very small and extremely faint single spindle trail adjacent to the centre hole on the side 1 label, otherwise perfect! Note the absence on the labels of the "EMI" box, indicative of a very 1st UK pressing (along with the "1G/1G" stampers). Clearly this is a record that has been played only a few times at most.  Excellent (EX) condition non-laminated iconic outer gatefold sleeve with firm and completely unscuffed edges, a rigid spine with all spine text remaining perfectly intact, nicely defined right angled corners with absolutely minimal rubbing on each, firm opening edges with no fraying, and all photos, text, and beautiful art-work remaining vibrant, crisp, and wonderfully defined. The only blemishes (each very trivial) are a very small and very faint circular mark towards the front-side top right corner where a small sticker once existed and a couple of barely noticeable small handling/storage marks. This iconic 70's gatefold sleeve remains fully functional and eminently presentable and hard to believe that it is now 54 years of age! The much vaunted and all-important "PINK FLOYD THE WALL" clear plastic sticker is in perfect condition, and the 1st press rounded corner and top edge 9inch thumb notch lyric inners are similalry perfect with the single exception of a 2cm scuff in the middle of the bottom edge on the side 3/4 inner.  Superb, excellent plus (EX+) sound quality with no sticks, skips, repeats, clicks, distortion or background crackle - wonderful tone and crystal clear stereo reproduction with brilliant hard-to-fault stereo sound quality throughout. You might come across the very occasional randow low level static click but no more than you would expect from a brand new record recieiving it's first play.  Note that I always ship the vinyl (in this case vinyls) in a new plain white inner sleeve in order to protect the original.    A truly excellent plus condition copy of this 1979 UK 1st press Pink Floyd classic, increasingly hard to come by especially in condition as truly impressive as this.

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
