Description

PINK FLOYD Atom Heart Mother PSYCHE Vinyl 1st Press NO BOXED EMI SHVL 781 A1/B1.
10% DISCOUNT - FATHER'S DAY SPECIAL!

Yet another progressive masterpiece by the pioneering leaders of Psychedelia. Atom Heart Mother takes listeners on an epic odyssey through weird and wonderful landscapes in the way only the Floyd can. The blend of art and culture is once again typified by an era defining image on the sleeve.
A1-G/B1-G matrix ensure that this is the very earliest variant of the first UK press in 1970. There is no EMI box on the label and the Gramophone Co. features around the rim.
VINYL: The vinyl is generally very clean and glossy with only a few minor non-feelable hairlines, which is typical for a record of this age. There is background crackle that sounds throughout but this does not distract at all from the sound of the music. It is a warm sound on the quieter passages and then it is barely audible when the many loud parts kick in. Overall, a great example for nearly 50 years young.
LABEL: Excellent condition - no writing or marks.
ORIGINAL HARVEST INNER: The inner sleeve shows mild sings of discolouration but it is all in perfect working condition with no writing, rips or tears.
SLEEVE: The iconic non-laminated Garrod & Lofthouse gate fold sleeve is all in working order with nothing nasty to report. It shows signs of discolouration in patches but the main images and the sparse writing are still very clearly visible (see pictures). There are two minor surface scuffs (see pictures), a slight amount of ring wear and very mild scuffing around the edges. The spine has a few creases and a bit of wear but the text is still highly visible. Overall, this sleeve is not a perfect example but it is still pretty decent considering its age.
This record has been play tested, honestly described and carefully graded.
