This listing features an incredibly rare, vintage pressing of Pink Floyd's Atom Heart Mother album with the Red & White "SMAS" prefix sticker used by Harvest Records for a very short time in the early 1970's as they phased out the SKAO 382 pressings.
This example is still FACTORY SEALED and comes in the original shrinkwrap! What makes this Pink Floyd album extra special is the fact the cover features BOTH the original (1970) SKAO prefix as well as the highly sought-after red & white SMAS sticker!
**SMAS Red & white sticker:
The original catalog number prefix (SKAO) for "Atom Heart Mother" was used by Harvest Records in 1970s. The new prefix (SMAS) was subsequently used prior to new copies being printed with the new prefix on the album cover, the record company stuck a white sticker with a red "SMAS" on the spine over the old SKAO prefix number.
These "transitional albums" with the SMAS stickers are extremely scarce and only a tiny few have survived! There's no question that this is one of the rarest variants of all albums in the Pink Floyd catalog! And finding an example still FACTORY SEALED in the ORIGINAL SHRINK makes this a TRUE GEM that any serious collector or Pink Floyd enthusiast would be proud to own!
CONDITION: This album is in solid NEAR MINT condition! As you can see, the original shrinkwrap has begun to separate around the mouth area. Approx half of the mouth is sealed shut, while the other half of this area is slightly opened.
Since its clear that the album has NEVER BEEN REMOVED from the album sleeve, its considered FACTORY SEALED by collectors.
The seams of the gatefold cover are still nice and tight. The spine is also clean. As you can see, a few of the corners do show some wear. All of this can be seen in the photos.
The SMAS sticker does show some minor discoloration due to age. This aging doesn't show up well in the photos.

The vinyl is 50 years old and has NEVER seen the light of day! The Amoeba Harvest labels and vinyl are assumed MINT! This album is essentially a 1st pressing with a rare SMAS sticker attached.
