Description
For sale is a decent sounding copy of the famous 1st U.K. pressing of Pink Floyd’s masterpiece The Dark Side of the Moon.
Original midnight blue gatefold in solid VG condition. Some fading and ringwear and minor edge wear but otherwise fully intact
Original black poly lined inner sleeve in VG+ condition
Both posters VG+. They look authentic to the issue, with minor discolouration of the back, rather than the pure white of modern copies
Both stickers unused and again seem to be authentic judging by the backs
Record - 7GGL and 3GGR stampers
Labels clean with only minimal wear.
Visually side 1 is VG+ with a few minor hairlines and marks visible in bright light
Sonically close to VG+ with only occasional light crackles - mainly between tracks or in quiet passages . There are a handful of light clicks at beginning of final track , but no sticks skips or jumps
Visually side 2 Is close to EX. Only visual issue when playing side 2 is a small warp (see final photo and video) which did not affect play when I tested it. I have an Audio Technica cart with a tonearm setting of 2.0 g.
Does NOT have the infamous skip on the track Money. Plays through very well - as with side 1 - with just a couple of quiet clicks at beginning of Us and Them and a very slight skip later in the track, although I can’t see any mark that would cause that.
You can see the warp in the video. If you buy I will not consider a return. As I state, it played through on my system.
