Every so often I help a local hospice sell its more collectable LPs on ebay. Just in is a fresh batch which includes some highly prized LPs. Each LP I list will be played in its entirety before listing to give an accurate analysis of its audio condition.

My listening equipment is a highly revealing Roksan Xerxes/Artemiz/Shiraz turntable, JDI pre/power amplification and Castle speakers.

Played on that system, this LP grades Ex+ which is a real relief. I put off playing this LP for a few weeks because I was afraid its audio quality would not live up to expectations. I'm happy to report that it is in superb condition. It has one flaw and luckily this occurs in the run-in groove of side one - a fuzzy noise -which stops  before the heartbeats and music begins. Apart from that there is some very, very minor background noise to some quiet moments which is not intrusive and only mentioned for total accuracy plus I believe it may be removed by a good record cleaning machine. There a couple of hairlines and tiny marks which are of no audio consequence. To my ears, this LP easily achieves an Ex+ grading.

In the photo of the naked vinyl you can see a reflection of some frosted glass at the 3 o'clock postion in the dead wax. I'll repeat, this is just a reflection.

The gatefold cover is original. In the final photograph you can see it compared to a later cover. The original cover has a lighter, charcoal colour rather than the black of later covers. (Some people describe the original covers as blue, but it looks more charcoal to me.) These original covers also have a more matt finish which makes them prone to wear. This cover has a certain amount of wear, but I still grade it excellent. I'll point out its minor flaws: it has some slight rubbing along the top and bottom edges and corners; there's a slight indentation mark - visible in photo 3 - which only shows up in angled light; there's a very tiny bend to the top right corner. I'm only mentioning these for total accuracy - I believe the photos represent the condition exactly.

It comes complete with 2 posters and 2 stickers. The posters have never been mounted and they and the stickers are in pristine condition.
