PINK FLOYD ‘DARK SIDE OF THE MOON’ ORIGINAL 2ND PRESSING VINYL LP A3+B3 STAMPER CODES COMPLETE WITH BOTH POSTERS & BOTH POSTCARDS AND RARE ORIGINAL STICKERED SLEEVE


Sleeve Condition: Evidence of price sticker removal to top right, not damage but what looks like glue residue.  Otherwise only moderate wear and certainly in Ex condition. Both posters and postcards are flawless, you really couldn’t find better. The sleeve, very importantly, has the subtle, greeny-blue background rather than the later black.


Record Condition: A bit of vinyl noise on the run-in groove which finishes before the music starts.  Otherwise the record is in Ex condition showing very few signs of play.  There is some crackle in very quiet passages but the music is unaffected by any other audible interference and the quality of reproduction is stunning.  There are various internet sites that can testify to the superior quality of these very early pressings.


The very first pressings with the legendary and ‘hen’s teeth’ rare, solid light blue, triangle had A2+B2 stamper codes.  This, with A3+B3 stamper codes, is therefore the closest pressing and is a genuine, early 1974, 2nd pressing.  If you want the closest it is possible to get to a £400 - £500 first pressing, then this is the alternative, a genuine, rare, stickered sleeve, A3+B3 2nd issue.  Here to sell, no reserve.

MATRIX NUMBERS ARE A3/B3. THESE ARE THE FIRST ISSUE NUMBERS AFTER THE FAMOUS A2/B2 SOLID BLUE 1ST PRESS ISSUE. MAKING THIS A VERY EARLY 1974TILL HAS THE ORIGINAL DARK BLUE SLEEVE WHICH THEY CARRIED ON USING UNTIL THE LATER CHANGE TO THE BLACK ONE.
