Description
For sale here is a lovely copy of Pink Floyds most iconic album "Dark side of the moon". This is an A4 / B3 very early genuine UK pressing and in really superb condition all round. Fully play-graded. The mother / stamper combinations are really early on this one. SIDE 1 1 GG. SIDE 2 1 RAL.
The cover is outstanding. Hardly any shelf-wear worth mentioning. Lovely and black with no damage aside of the odd spot of shelf-wear. Grades as excellent.
The inner sleeve is undamaged, but has some wrinkling and discolouration from age. Grades as very good plus.
The vinyl visually looks unmarked. Hardly played, this exhibits 4 or 5 spindle trails on the labels to each side only. Visually I have no problem grading this as excellent plus, no marks.
Play-grading the vinyl, I am quoting from my "listening bible", my notebook! Plays really well and quietly into the heartbeat on side one. Plays superbly. The transition into "Time" plays great. No issues. Towards the end of "Great gig", there is a single dust "pop" which should clean out or play out. Side one grades as excellent plus for audio. Side two starts really well too. Towards the very end of "Money", there are 5 dull clicks. The rest of the side plays as well as the first. With the exception of those 5 clicks, this grades as excellent plus too. Overall the sound produced is clear and dynamic. Very musical with a realistic soundstage created. Detail is excellent. This is a quite exceptional early copy.
Both posters grade as excellent. No pin holes or the like.
Both stickers are in great shape, but, as with so many, have been caught in the gatefold hinge and got a light crease. Both stickers grade as very good plus due to the creasing.
The included "making of" DVD is in excellent condition.
The triangle motif coaster is brand new and mint.
This album is 100% genuine and original. Nothing mixed and matched from later issues. Overall this is a very safe minimum grade of excellent and I know the winning bidder will be more than pleased.

I am also listing two triple sets of this album. On set is A3/B2, A3/B3, A3/B3. All have "Gramophone Co Ltd" text around the label rim. The other set is also A3/B2, A3/B3, A3/B3. One of the A3/B3 has "EMI" label rims, the other 2 have "Gramophone Co Ltd" text.
