Description
This copy of Pink Floyd's most famous record, Dark Side of the Moon, is in exceptional condition. I give it an excellent rating, nearly near mint. No scratches, no finger prints, no stains or scuffs.
It is from my personal collection, a one-owner record. I was shocked when I got it out to photograph that both of the original posters included with the LP were still in the cover. Even more shocked when I realized I never pinned them up or taped them to a wall—they are just as they were inserted 51 years ago this month. Both are 6-panel, 20 by 30 inches, full color. One is a vertical and features concert photos of members of the band. The second is horizontal and features the great pyramids filtered in green with the name of the band and album at bottom. Super rare to find them in this condition.
The cover is pretty typical for this album, maybe a little better than most. The solid black printed areas always show nicks and dings as well as the curve of the record worse than other colors. Another common problem with this album is that the glue holding the sleeve panels at top has come loose. I've seen others offered here with the same problem. I see that my teen-aged self tried taping them back to help hold the record. (I also wrote my name inside the opening so I could always prove to my thieving friends that this was my copy.) The inner sleeve is the original full black but is split on all three sides. I've tried to be accurate in my photos including imperfections.
It has always been stored vertically in temperature controlled, smoke-free conditions away from extreme heat, cold or damp.
