Welcome to the part sale of my own record collection. As many record collectors may already know I used to run a vinyl shop on here for many years and over that period put aside some gems for my own collection. It has come that time to break down some of it, so coming in the next month or so...Lots of rock, Pink Floyd, Who, Queen, Kinks Etc, many rare and fine collectables. I will try to add daily or every other day until they are gone,
This is an auction for a LP by Pink Floyd, The Dark Side Of The Moon.
Released on Harvest records in 1973 and has catalogue number SHVL804. Matrix..SHVL 804 A 1.1...SHVL 804 B 1.0. This is the 2nd pressing with a stickered shrink-wrap gatefold sleeve.
Condition: You will be hard pressed to find this is any better condition. The gatefold has not been removed from the wrap so only shows very light signs of wear to the opened and exposed mouth edge, this edge has very light buffing to the top and bottom corner. The sleeve has a few curious blue marks seen under the wrap on the sleeve itself, obviously done at time of manufacture being under the wrap and actually on the sleeve itself? The sticker is in fine condition, the wrap is torn on the rear. A fine gatefold and graded at Near Mint, I am not down-grading this for the blue marks as this may infact add to its curiosity value, this is of course debatable, so please judge and grade this how you feel.
Good news for collectors is the fact that this comes with its two posters and cards/stickers which are mint, as is the 'patent' inner sleeve.
Both labels look brand new, this has perhaps seen a deck once or twice, I can't find any spindle trails but the centre-hole on side one at 2 to 4 o,clock has very light buffing. As usual accurate and fussy, these labels are just about as good as it gets.
The vinyl does not let this down. Retaining its brand new shine and looking immacualte. I can't fault it even under the closest of examinations. So graded at Near Mint because it has probably seen a deck once or twice, a collectors copy and no doubt graded at Mint by many traders.
