For sale here is the 1st UK quadrophonic pressing of Pink Floyds "The dark side of the moon" This is a really well kept example. Cover grades as excellent minus (Ex-). Lovely and black with very little shelf-wear to mention. A couple of areas of colour loss to the spine (see photos) and a small sticker removal mark to front cover. Aside of those, this is a really nice example. The inner sleeve is poly-lined and has no rips, slits or tears. Just a little age discolouration. Grades as excellent (Ex). The stickers are FASSON Crack-back, but are of a design I have not seen before on the reverse. Possibly not original to this album, I don't know. Grade as excellent plus (Ex+). The posters are both present. The blue pyramid one is excellent, just some light age discolouration. The band poster has been pinned to a wall during its life, so have a pin hole in each corner. Also has a little more wear than its mate. Grades as very good (VG). The vinyl is pretty stunning visually. No marks or issues at all. Play-grading confirms this is a copy from the top of the pile! I have graded side 1 as excellent plus. I have graded side 2 as excellent due to 10 seconds of static at the very start of track one. This may well be eradicated by cleaning. The mother / stamper combinations are:- SIDE ONE A2 / 1P SIDE TWO B1 / 1T. The mix of the pressing differs to a standard stereo version. There is no harm to either the record or audio equipment by playing a quad record on a stereo set-up. It is just presented in a different way, and makes fascinating listening. The audio is gorgeous. Engaging, detailed and powerful. A truly enjoyable listening experience.
